Ceramics and candles require a lot of care when packing to ensure safe arrival. Sometimes our postage costs are a little higher than if we were shipping non-fragile items.

International Parcels
We use Australia Post international to ship your items and for most destinations it will take 5-7 business days to arrive. You will be provided a tracking number to check the status of your package.

If your parcel hasn't arrived within 2 weeks, please check your tracking and contact your local post office for assistance.

Packaging

The bubble wrap is either biodegradable or recycled as we collect packaging from other local business to up-cycle and keep costs down when possible.

Handmade Ceramics
Mannix Ceramics is made from a range of quality clays and glazes depending on the item.

How do I best care for my handmade ceramic pieces?

Ceramics need to be handled with care and are fragile by nature. Please make sure pieces don’t get bumped on taps as chips or hairline cracks can occur.

Hand-wash and do not put in dishwasher.

Ceramics
All ceramics are checked to be in good order before we carefully package and send your items.

We do not accept returns for change of mind or ceramics damaged after use. Once your ceramic is unwrapped and in use, we are not responsible for any cracks or breakages.

Ceramics are sensitive to thermal shock so please avoid heating or cooling your ceramics too quickly, eg. pouring hot water in a mug washed in cold water.

Please note that each piece is handmade creating unique variations in glaze, size and colour. This is part of the beauty of handmade and the surprise of opening every new kiln load.

Candles
All candles are made from the finest quality materials. Ethically sourced coco-soy wax. Cotton or timber wicks and premium scents. The maximum scent load is added to all our candles to ensure a full-bodied aroma once lit. Some scents have a good cold throw (smell when unlit) and others have a mild fragrance and only reach their potential once warm.

To burn a candle properly you are encouraged to follow instructions. Candle wax has a memory, so the lit time is important. To prevent tunnelling of wax you should keep candle alight until entire surface is melted across to the edge. This usually takes at least a couple of hrs depending on width of the vessel. Keep wick short. If wick ever mushrooms which sometimes happened with cotton wicks. Place saucer over candle to put flame out. Once wax has cooled cut wick shorter and bend slightly. This usually alleviates any further issues.

Do not leave lit candles unattended or place near a draught or near flammable items such as curtains. Take care not to place where it could be bumped by pets or children.

No returns on sale items.
